The Vallejo True Metallic Metal range of acrylic paints has been developed to offer complete control, consistency and perfect results when painting metal surfaces on figures or other models. The range is designed to cover the entire chromatic spectrum with metallic paints organized into 20 color groups. They contain real ultra-fine metal particles

Each group contains four colors that work in perfect harmony with each other according to the Vallejo BSL system - Base - Shadow - Light. Each group contains the colors - BASE, LIGHT, SHADOWS, AIRBRUSH.

BASE - The main metallic shade. With its high hiding power, smooth, even surface and excellent self-leveling properties, the color is ideal for base coats.
LIGHT - Colors designed to lighten BASE colors. They are lighter, more vibrant versions of BASE colors. Their fine surface allows for smooth and smooth color transitions.
SHADOW - Designed for shading BASE colors. With a satin finish that preserves the shine of the underlying base layer, the shades are a darker, non-metallic version of the BASE tones. Their rich pigmentation and controlled flow allow for subtle shading in recessed areas. They can be thinned with water to create gradient effects.
AIRBRUSH - A color with the same shade as the BASE color, specially diluted for use with an airbrush. Offers a homogeneous surface and excellent color intensity. Ready to use straight from the bottle (can be thinned with Airbrush Thinner for finer effects. Excessive thinning can lead to an uneven surface). Also contains a drying retarder that prevents the paint from drying out in the spray gun nozzle.

The colors have high coverage for base coats, a smooth and even surface and excellent self-leveling properties that prevent brush streaks. At the same time, they can be freely combined with each other to create shades exactly according to your wishes. The paint is supplied already diluted, so no further dilution is necessary.

Note: The color shade presented on the monitor or in printed form may differ slightly from the actual one.

Modeling water-based acrylic paint intended for painting or spraying on plastic, metal, wood, ceramics, textiles, or other suitable surfaces. Non-flammable base, dries quickly - after about 1 hour the surface can be repainted, for full drying or using a mask it is recommended to let the paint dry for about 12 hours.

Packaging: The paint is usually supplied in 18ml./0.6 fl.oz. bottles with a screw cap and a dropper. This packaging prevents the paint from evaporating and drying in the container, so it can be used in minimal quantities and stored for a long time.

Not suitable for children under 8 years of age. Children must always be supervised by an adult when working with paint. In case of contact with eyes and mucous membranes, rinse with clean water and seek medical attention. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting, seek medical attention immediately. Do not drink or eat the contents of the container, do not apply it to your skin. Safety: Always follow the information on the product label. Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, a reaction mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1).

Good advice: These paints are best applied to a slightly rough and absorbent surface. When applied to bare plastic or metal, there may be a problem with poor paint adhesion at the beginning. Therefore, it is best to prepare the surface of the model, for example, by spraying a model primer, such as Vallejo Surface Primer. Subsequent work with Vallejo True Metallic Metal paint is then much more comfortable and the result is absolutely perfect. To improve the properties of True Metallic Metal paint shades, it is recommended to use a black base paint.

Stir the paint well before use! Apply to a well-degreased, dry, clean surface. Always close the paint tightly, because it dries with air access. Always wipe the lid of the container dry, do not let paint residues dry even on the edge. This will extend the shelf life and life of the paint.

Thinning: The paint is supplied already diluted, so no further dilution is necessary. If you decide to dilute the paint, use plain clean water or original Vallejo thinner. Using another thinner may damage the paint.

Painting: The paint (BASE, LIGHT, SHADOW) is supplied in such a consistency that it can be used immediately with a brush. For minor repairs, it can be applied gradually in several layers.

Spray painting: For spray painting, the paint labeled AIRBRUSH is supplied diluted, but if necessary, you can dilute it appropriately with water/thinner, depending on the type of an airbrush and other spraying parameters. It also contains a drying retarder, which does not need to be added additionally. To improve the flow of paint through the airbrush nozzle, we recommend using Vallejo Flow Improver, which significantly increases the comfort of spraying.

Drying time: The paint dries to the touch literally "before your eyes" within a few minutes. Drying can be accelerated further with a hair dryer. Complete drying takes about 12 hours, depending on the thickness of the layer. To repaint/spray with a new layer, just wait a few minutes until the original layer has dried a little.

Cleaning: Wash the tool immediately with water after using it. While the paint is fresh, it can be completely washed off without leaving any traces. To clean the spray gun, we recommend using Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner (71099 or 71199).
