T8FB is an eight-channel transmitter for recreational modelers, which you can use as a classic "hand-held" eight-channel with cross controls, two switches and two rotary controls and direction switches for channels 1-4. After connecting to a PC with a utility program or an application on an Android smartphone, it turns into an intelligent computer transmitter that allows you to set basic functions such as the size and direction of deflections, mixes for gliders and butterfly tail surfaces, and even has two freely programmable mixes. This allows you to control a wide range of models - motorized aerobatic models, gliders, multicopters, cars and other ground equipment, as well as ships. It is characterized by a practical box that fits perfectly in your hand with a classic, years-tested ergonomic layout of the controls.
Controls: To control the main functions, precise cross controllers with adjustable neutralization spring force and the ability to move the locked axis for the throttle left or right are used. Thanks to this, you can freely select the operating modes of the cross controllers 1-4. The digital trims have an audible step and center position. They are located slightly eccentrically and are easy to reach. Additional channels can be controlled by two rotary controls on the top of the transmitter, and two switches (one three-position and one two-position) can serve as channel switches or for turning on / off program functions (after setting up on a PC or smartphone). The controls are assignable (on a PC or smartphone).
Transmitter power supply: The T8FB allows you to use a wide range of sources for power supply: 4 alkaline batteries inserted into the holder supplied with the transmitter, NiMH battery packs with 4 cells (size AA, pencil) or two- to three-cell LiPo, Li-ion sets. When connecting the transmitter to a PC or smartphone, the battery voltage is displayed, the threshold level of the low voltage audible alarm is adjustable. We recommend 4.8 V NIMH sets of cells with low self-discharge (Eneloop, RayLong) made specifically for the transmitter and equipped with a charging tap.
Transmission system: T8FB uses FHSS frequency hopping transmission ensuring long range, reliability and immunity to interference. It does not allow telemetry transmission.
Software: After connecting to a PC or smartphone, you get a wide range of transmitter settings. You can load existing settings from the transmitter, modify them as needed and re-upload them to the transmitter, save them to the PC or smartphone memory, or upload the settings saved there to the transmitter. The operating program or application has four menus:
SERVO monitor menu for displaying servo movements in all channels,
BASIC menu for setting the direction and size of deflections (independently for both directions from the center), subtrim, emergency failsafe deflections and servo movement speed
ADVANCED menu for setting double deflections, ATTITUDE function (up to 6-position switch of flight modes of drone control units), mixes for butterfly tails and self-wings,
SYSTEM menu for assigning channel controllers 5-8, selecting the mode of cross controllers 1-4, setting the threshold level for signaling low voltage of the transmitter battery and two freely programmable mixes.
The micro USB socket (located at the bottom of the transmitter) is used for updating the firmware and programming the transmitter using a PC or an application on an Android smartphone.
The teacher-student socket is used to control the models with a dual control system using two Radiolink transmitters connected by a teacher-student cable; the T8FB can serve as a student transmitter. In addition to the classic cable (1RL0058), it is also possible to use a wireless connection using a receiver with a PPM output connected using a special adapter (1RL0056) to the teacher-student socket of the teacher transmitter; the receiver is paired with the student transmitter.
Strap: The T8FB can be hung around the neck on the central hinge using a strap (sold separately).
