Product detailed description

PETG is one of the most commonly used filaments. Its strength and durability make it an excellent choice for printing various mechanically stressed parts, such as various holders and clamps. Thanks to its excellent adhesion between individual layers, PETG is also ideal for printing waterproof models, both for indoor and outdoor use. In addition, it is a very tough material with good resistance to high temperatures. The letter G in the abbreviation PETG stands for glycol (or glycol-modified substance), which is used in the manufacturing process. Glycol modifies the properties of PET to make it less brittle, easier to print and more transparent when printing from semi-transparent variants. PETG has low thermal expansion, so even when printing large models (and without an Enclosure) it rarely warps and peels off the heated bed. In addition, PETG is stronger and less brittle than PLA. It has a healthy amount of elasticity, which can prevent parts from breaking under pressure.

Filament color: #C8C9C7
Width: 1.75mm (tolerance 0.03mm)
Spool diameter: 195mm
Inner hole diameter: 75mm

Print settings:
Nozzle - 220 - 240 °C
Heated pad - 80-90 °C

Features:

+ Good temperature resistance
+ Easy to print
+ Low shrinkage and warping
+ High strength and durability
+ Easier to sand than PLA (softer, less melting)

- Worse details than when using e.g. PLA
- Stringing option
- Worse bridging quality

Tips and tricks for beginners
Unlike PLA or ABS, PETG tends to bleed a bit and can leave plastic threads (stringing) on the print. We recommend drying the filament before printing. If stringing still occurs, you can further counteract it by increasing retraction and tuning the hotend temperature, or you can get rid of the filaments on the finished print with a heat gun.
