Hobbywing bidirectional controller specially designed for model boats. Ideal for boats up to 45 cm long.

Programmable microprocessor controller with water cooling for brushless, sensorless AC motors, designed using the latest semiconductor technology with excellent performance characteristics while maintaining very simple and user-friendly operation. It is used to control the speed of AC electric motors in model boats (especially speedboats) when powered by NiCd/NiMH and Li-pol/Li-ion batteries. Installation and use are greatly facilitated by the waterproof case and water cooling. It is equipped with a linear power stabilizer BEC, which provides power to the receiver and servos from the drive battery. The controller is programmed using the transmitter or the Hobbywing LED programming box (sold separately).

DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONS OF THE CONTROLLER

• The resistance of the SEAKING V3 series controllers meets the IP67 standard, which means that the controller can work in water and the user can use it directly without any preliminary measures. (Note: After use, thoroughly dry all connectors to prevent oxidation of their metal parts.)
• The patented "Copper Bar Heat Conduction" heat exchange technology, water cooling system and power MOSFET transistors with extremely low internal resistance increase the reliability of the controllers and their resistance to overload.
• New software specially developed for RC boats with excellent starting and acceleration properties. It also has excellent resistance to sudden changes in load caused by the surfacing and submerging of the propeller while driving.
• Suitable for most marine AC sensorless electric motors powered by 2-3S LiPo/Li-ion or 5-10 cell NiCd/NiMH batteries.
• For powering NiCd, NiMH, Li-pol, Li-ion, Li-Fe batteries
• Linear BEC power stabilizer with a load capacity of up to 2 A.

PROGRAMMABLE FUNCTIONS

• Operating mode: One-way - for speedboats and racing. Bi-directional mode also allows reverse and is suitable for scale models and recreational/sports driving.
  Number of Li-Pol cells: You can choose to automatically detect the number of cells or set the number of cells manually for a 100% reliable voltage protection function.
• Undervoltage protection: If the voltage of the drive battery drops below the set threshold value for 2 seconds, the motor power is reduced to 50%. You can choose "no protection" mode or values ​​of 2.8 / 3.0 / 3.2 or 3.4 V/cell.
• Timing: Adjustable 0.00°, 3.75°, 7.50°, 11.25°, 15.00°, 18.75°, 22.50°, 26.25°
• Set the most suitable value according to the motor you are using. The correct timing value ensures smooth engine operation. Generally speaking, a higher timing value will give a higher maximum power, but the engine efficiency will decrease and its operating temperature will increase.

CONTROLLER PROTECTION FUNCTIONS

• Power supply voltage drop protection: If the drive battery voltage drops below the set threshold value for 2 seconds, the engine power is reduced to 50%.
• Controller thermal protection: If the controller temperature exceeds the factory set value, the controller limits the engine power to 50%. Full power will be restored after the controller temperature drops below 80°C.
• Throttle signal loss: The controller shuts down the engine if the throttle control signal from the receiver is absent for 0.1 s. Once a normal signal is received, the controller will resume normal function.
