 RC car model construction kits from the Japanese brand Tamiya are characterized by the best features. Thanks to the very clear building instructions and the thoughtful division of building parts into marked bags, even a complete beginner can handle building a Tamiya car. The basic version of the model from the construction kit already gives a perfect impression of a beautiful RC model, but each Tamiya construction kit provides wide tuning options. Tamiya construction kits will give you an incomparable feeling of joy when you build an RC truck model yourself.  The Tamiya chassis in this construction kit is characterized by a high model construction. The drive of both rear axles is provided via a 3-speed gearbox with cardan shafts and differentials. One of the three speeds (gear ratios) can be selected manually using mechanical stops (or remotely via the RC transmitter and servo shift). This model has a very attractive appearance, excellent performance and driving characteristics. The model is already capable of pulling a load of 15 - 20 kg in its basic version!

 The specialty of this kit is that it can be built either as a basic model with only speed and direction control, or as a perfectly illuminated and sound model using the Multifunction-Unit MFC-01 Tamiya for trucks 300056511. With this MFC (MFU), the model gains a completely new dimension, thanks to realistic lighting, a high-quality sound module and remote control of all functions via the RC transmitter. WARNING! This RC car is not a toy, but a more elaborate, functional model that behaves very much like a real car. Due to its realistic parameters, if not properly assembled and operated, it can cause injury to you, a spectator, or damage property. The model is intended for driving in a large room or outdoors on a dry surface. Under no circumstances should it be driven in water, snow, puddles, mud, sand, tall grass, on public roads and other places (e.g. parking lots) with car traffic. High "shaggy" carpets are also unsuitable surfaces. This model requires regular maintenance.

Our Globe Liner test: Like all Tamiya kits, this one only confirms the good reputation of this Japanese manufacturer. After unpacking the large box, frames with plastic parts, several bags with neatly sorted screws, gears and other small items remain on the table. The building instructions are completely clear, each screw is clearly displayed in life-size, each step is very clearly displayed. However, this model is one of the more complex ones and therefore I recommend it to more advanced modelers. Especially because the most perfect one is also built with complete electronics MFC-01 Tamiya 56511. If you follow the instructions and a systematic procedure, you will build this model in a few evenings. The most work is usually with high-quality spraying of the model body and with the assembly of the electronics. This usually takes much longer than building the chassis. You need to buy an RC kit for this kit, depending on whether you build the model in the simplest version or the most complex. In the first case, a regular pistol RC kit and one steering servo are enough. In the second case, if you also use MFC, it is better to buy a lever set with at least 4 channels. I built my model in the most equipped version and therefore used two waterproof Carson 6kg servos and a Carson Reflex 6k transmitter. The chassis design of Tamiya truck models is basically the same in all types, whether it is a King Hauler or Scania. The chassis is based on a frame made of two beams connected by several crossbars. The axle suspensions, shock absorbers, servo beds and finally the gearbox with the engine are attached to the frame. All connections are screwed, so it is not a problem if you first build the model in the simplest version and install the advanced electronics later. Everything can be disassembled without damage. Since I also installed the MFC-01 Tamiya in my model (ATTENTION, it is purchased separately), all the lights and sounds in the model are completely realistic, including the particularly effective sound of the engine and horn. The model has a 3-speed gearbox. This means that one of the three gear ratios can be selected manually or remotely, thereby significantly changing the torque on the axles, or the speed range depending on the size of the load. The battery compartment is inside the cabin, accessible through the large rear door. It is a model that can be normally driven outside, but beware, the MFC-01 is not waterproof. Fortunately, there is a relatively easy way to help with this, just carefully open the MFC box and spray the electronics with Nanoprotech. The servo and receiver must be selected at the very beginning with the requirement of water resistance, or even water tightness. To summarize, by purchasing this kit you will get several hours of perfect fun, ending with the joy of an attractive model excellent for truck enthusiasts.
