Remote-controlled advanced tank model kit, realistically functional model.

The Sherman tank was the backbone of the Allied effort in World War II, with a total of approximately 50,000 units produced, including a number of different variants, such as the M4 Sherman 105 mm howitzer. The M4 used a 9-cylinder air-cooled radial engine that drove the front gears through a 5-speed gearbox with reverse. Later series vehicles had chassis based on the Horizontal Coil Spring System (HVSS). The M4 Shermans were used to support infantry, but also participated in attacks on enemy targets from Europe to the Pacific.

The improved transmission mimics the Cletrac steering system as in the real tank. Metal components are used for the drive gears and suspension arms. The HVSS uses metal coil springs. Pre-assembled plastic tracks.

The differential transfers power from a 540 DC motor. When the tracks move at the same speed, the model goes straight. If the track speeds differ, the tank goes either left or right. Commands from the transmitter cause the servo to move, which then slows down the rotating side of the track through one of the brake discs in the differential.
