Product detailed description
Rookie is a simple school glider suitable for flying in the RCH/RCHS category. Children will try building a more complex large geometrically twisted wing, covering the wing with foil and installing RC components. The wing has an AG35 profile and a solid upper covering of the front part of the wing. Thanks to its design, the model does not go into a spin, responds very well to thermals and has very good stability even in stronger winds. It can fly even in a very small space.
The kit is suitable for teaching the theory and practice of flying with an RC model. It contains a 1:1 scale plan, according to which it is possible to make another model. Levers and bowden cables for installing RC components are also included in the package.
Wingspan - 1499mm
Length - 993mm
Weight - min. 360g.
What you should know before buying a model.
Kits are not toys.
Their construction and operation require concentration and discipline.
Kits are divided into several categories, according to the modeler's abilities.
A beginner modeler
is a modeler who has not yet mastered basic modeling procedures and techniques. He has no idea what the center of gravity of a model is, is not familiar with reading technical drawings, and cannot decide without help what glue or varnish to use in a particular situation.
Kits are available for beginner modelers that contain more detailed instructions for building a model. Models mostly have a solid wing cover and may not even need to be painted. By building such models, you will gradually gain the necessary practice for further construction and flying with them. They do not fly the best, but they forgive many mistakes made during the construction and alignment (setting) of the model.
School models are also used by beginner modelers to gain modeling practice. These are more complex models that are specifically aimed at gaining a certain amount of experience and practice. For example, painting the model's wing. The instructions do not include all the basic modeling procedures and techniques. They focus only on new techniques or technologies used in the kit.
An advanced modeler
is a modeler who already has practical experience with building models and flying them. He already has modeling techniques and technologies in place. When building a model, he bases them on a technical drawing. The model's instructions focus only on a brief description of how to assemble the model. These models are not primarily intended for beginner modelers. A beginner modeler can assemble this model, for example, under the supervision of a model club leader or a more experienced friend.
An experienced modeler
is a modeler who is able to structurally adapt a model from the kit to his needs. For example, he can equip a free model with an electric motor and RC equipment. The instructions only serve as an information aid for assembling the model.
