Tamiya Lexan bodies are characterized by high-quality workmanship. The set usually also includes masking film for windows, vinyl stickers and plastic details (ABS plastic) such as rear-view mirrors, spoilers and the like.

It is usually supplied as a semi-finished product - an unpainted and uncut Lexan molding, which must be cut, processed and painted.

The body is cut out of the molding with sharp scissors and the edges are sanded with fine sandpaper. We recommend first pre-drilling the holes for the body mounts with a thin drill, then carefully enlarging the holes with a conical reamer. The body is masked before painting using masking film and tape. It is usually painted with spray paint from the inside. There is a protective film on the surface, which we recommend removing only at the very end.

We recommend using Tamiya spray paints for lexan, which are of excellent quality.
