To assemble the model you need to purchase: plastic glue, paints, brushes, modeling tools. Gift Set / Model Set kits may contain basic paints, glue and a brush.

Good advice - recommendation
To achieve the perfect look for car or truck models, or when you need to paint a larger area (hulls and wings of civil aircraft, ship hulls...), we recommend spraying the surface with TAMIYA spray (a wide selection of shades can be found in our stock offer) or with an airbrush. A model with a sprayed surface has a much more realistic appearance than one painted with a brush or left in the color of the plastic.

Model construction
The building instructions in the kit are usually illustrated, without text. With a slow and deliberate step-by-step procedure, even an adult beginner can handle building this model. First, carefully study the model building instructions and check the completeness of the kit. Prepare a workbench, work tools (tweezers, model knife, stripping pliers, various brushes), glue and paints. It is advisable to prepare a small box where you can put the finished building groups while the glue dries. Separate the parts from the frame with sharp plastic cutters or a sharp modeling knife. Be careful not to let the part jump out and get lost. Always separate only the part from the frame that you will use immediately. Apply only the smallest amount of glue necessary and only to the contact surfaces of the parts. The cleaner your work is, the more beautiful the result will be. Do not rush when building, it is usually better to let the glue dry thoroughly, even if it is until the next day.

Painting the model
Use special modeling paints, thanks to which you will usually achieve the best result. Before painting, it is a good idea to thoroughly degrease the surface of the model. Some small parts are good to paint directly in the frame before you separate them from the frame. Use a thin pointed brush to paint small parts. Use a wide flat brush to paint large areas of the model. For a more beautiful appearance of the model, we recommend using model spray paint or a model spray gun when painting larger areas. The result is always better than a surface painted with a brush. Always let the individual colors dry well, this will prevent you from ruining the entire model just because of impatience.

Working with stickers
The kit usually includes "decal" stickers, which must be carefully cut out and soaked in warm water for 20-30 seconds before application. Then remove them from the water and place them on a smooth, non-absorbent surface (such as a glass table) for a while. The sticker (decal) will first curl slightly and then straighten out under the influence of the water. After about a minute, try to very carefully move the sticker on the carrier paper. If it moves freely, you can carefully transfer it to the desired location on the model. First, slightly moisten the area where you want to place the sticker with water, or use a drop of softening agent for stickers. Then place the sticker on the model and carefully blot away any excess water with a soft cloth or paper towel. Press the sticker briefly against the surface with your finger and a dry soft cloth. Be careful, if you have used a softener, do not touch the surface of the sticker unnecessarily until it is dry, as you may completely ruin it.
