A scaled-down model of a crawler excavator with an all-metal construction and a real hydraulic system. An excellent first step into the world of realistic functional construction machine models, offering decent quality at a reasonable price.

A high-quality 1:16 scale model of a crawler excavator as an RTR model in an exclusive white Amewi design with a 2.4 GHz transmitter, battery, charger and all accessories required for operation (except transmitter batteries).

This is the best way to describe the high-quality workmanship of the model construction combined with high-quality technology. The entire structure is made of metal and the booms as well as the tools (bucket) are hydraulically powered. The chassis is controlled by brushless electric motors and each track is driven by a separate motor. The hydraulic pump is also driven by a brushless electric motor. This means that there is always enough energy available for the upcoming work. The model can be controlled very sensitively using the supplied 2.4 GHz transmitter with "Euro" control (function assignment similar to that of a real excavator).
The lighting can also be switched using the transmitter. Other optional additional functions can also be controlled via the transmitter. This leaves plenty of room for your own ideas on how to improve the model to perfection.
This interesting model is supplied in a sturdy wooden box.

Technical note:
In this model, the design of the hydraulic system is such that the pump has a brushless motor with an extremely fast start-up. The pump starts whenever a steering lever is moved even slightly, but if the levers are stationary, the pump is switched off. The product video nicely explains that this design solution has its advantages and disadvantages. Advantage No. 1 is that it saves energy consumption a lot and with this relatively small battery the model can work for up to 40 minutes, which is really a lot. Advantage No. 2 is that it saves the pump, which does not overheat. The disadvantage is that when the pump is turned off and the arm is in the raised position, since the pressure in the system drops to zero, the arm will push the oil in the cylinders with its weight and fall. The technician demonstrates and explains this in the video. It is further explained that after unscrewing 6 screws from the bottom of the body, the top cover can be removed, opening access to the servos, valves and pump. It is possible to tune the entire system so that the arm does not fall, but this is only recommended for advanced users.

In the RC transmitter settings, it is possible to set the pump modes. According to the instructions, it is possible to assign three pump modes to switch B, one of which is "off", the second "normal" and the third "continuous". I think that this switch to continuous pump mode will ensure permanent oil pressure in the system, but at the cost of higher energy consumption and also a higher pump / oil temperature.
